Charleston deputies searching for a suspect in a Burger King armed robbery

On January 1st, at 9:41 p.m., Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery to the Burger King Restaurant, located at 3579 Savannah Hwy, Johns Island, South Carolina.

Upon deputies arrival on scene, witnesses stated that a black male suspect wearing a black mask and black hoodie entered the restaurant armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cash drawer and safe.

The suspect, after receiving an unknown amount of cash, fled from the scene on foot. Charleston County Sheriff's Office K9 Units responded to the scene in an attempt to track the suspect. However, the K9 Unit was unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'10", between 20-30 years old, wearing green in color pants, along with a black hoodie.
