Police looking for suspect in N. Charleston gas station robbery

A little before 9 Wednesday night, officers responded to the Lil Cricket gas station at 6901 on Dorchester Road for a robbery.

The store clerk told police that the suspect told him to, "pop open the register," and to bag Newport cigarettes.  The clerk complied, and the suspect left on foot towards Lamb Road.

The suspect is described as 20-to-30 years old, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and about 140 lbs. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded jacket, black pants and black shoes with red soles.

According to police, the suspect implied he was armed to the clerk, but did not show a weapon.

North Charleston police say the suspect in the photo robbed the Lil' Cricket at 6901 Dorchester Rd., Wednesday night. The suspect is described as a 20 to 30 years old medium skin, 5’6 to 5’8, 140 lbs, thick build.
