(Boston, MA) -- A Daniel Nava RBI single in the bottom of the ninth concluded a six-run inning as the Red Sox pulled off a stunning 8-7 comeback win over the Mariners at Fenway Park. Boston trailed 7-1 going into the eighth inning when Shane Victorino started the rally with what seemed like a meaningless solo homer. In the deciding frame, Brandon Holt connected for a one-run double, followed by a Victorino two-run single and three RBI one-baggers by Dustin Pedroia, Johnny Gomes and Nava, who won the game. Reliever Steven Wright picked up the victory for the Red Sox, which swept the three-game set. Seattle used a five-run fifth inning to take their big lead poweRed by a Henry Blanco grand slam. Reliever Oliver Perez took his third loss of the season.
